What makes Piel de Metal Unique?
At Piel de Metal, we believe discarded materials can be transformed into new stories. That is why we recover aluminum pull tabs and, through a meticulous artisanal process, turn them into the distinctive element of our designs.
Each pull tab is selected, sanitized, and polished before being carefully interwoven by hand using crochet techniques. This process brings recycled aluminum and genuine leather together to create durable, functional pieces filled with identity.
We work with carefully selected suppliers and produce each piece through artisanal methods, honoring the skilled hands involved at every stage. Our commitment is to use materials responsibly, reduce waste, and design pieces created to endure over time.This is our vision of fashion: a fusion of creativity, craftsmanship, and environmental awareness, where something once discarded is transformed into an expression of beauty, strength, and purpose.

Angie Téllez
Angie founded Piel de Metal in 2021, during a period of personal transformation that inspired her to rebuild her life through creativity.
After years of leading companies in the tourism industry, she followed her passion for fashion and created a brand that combines genuine leather, recycled aluminum, and Costa Rican craftsmanship.
Inspired by her own story, Angie designs for authentic and resilient women who transform their experiences into strength.

Mauricio Cordero
A Costa Rican artisan who loves his profession comments that he started in the world of leather goods at an early age, thanks to an uncle who taught him this beautiful profession; at 14, he helped them by making cuts, and that's how he started, working for various firms’ companies dedicated to the production of bags.
Today, he does the magical task of making and shaping the exclusive pieces produced in our workshop.
The passion and love for what he does are reflected in the finish of each product of our "Piel de Metal" brand.
